Health Systems Trust (HST) wishes to appoint three Nurse Clinicians as Facility Team Leaders to supervise implemented interventions at facility and community level in support of the South Africa Sustainable Response to HIV and AIDS (SA SURE) Plus Project. SA SURE aims to strengthen local capacity in the districts served by the project for provision of sustainable HIV- and TB-related care and treatment. The positions are based in Zululand District, KwaZulu-Natal Province. These incumbents will provide technical, mentorship and direct HIV and TB services to patients at Primary Health Care (PHC) clinics in compliance with the project’s HIV/AIDS and TB services and reporting requirements. They will also support community-based organisations (CBOs), Ward-based PHC Outreach Teams (WBPHCOTs) and all outreach services. These are fixed-term contract positions, renewable subject to continuation of funding.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

The Health Systems Trust (HST) wishes to appoint a Human Resources Manager who will direct, manage and be responsible for the Human Resources Operations; co-ordinating all administrative activities related to an organisation’s workforce and compliance issues. The role implements and executes strategies for managing the Human Resources function across the employee life cycle, including recruitment; rewards and recognition; labour relations; talent management; and employee development.

PROGRAMME MANAGER

Gauteng | Contract

The Health Systems Trust (HST) wishes to appoint a Programme Manager to lead and co-ordinate projects related to health service provision in Zambia, as well as the Synchronised National Communication in Health (SyNCH) electronic system for the Central Chronic Medicine Dispensing and Distribution (CCMDD) programme, which enables alternative chronic medication access for public sector patients. This will entail policy development and implementation; monitoring and evaluation (M&E) involving implementation of a web-based monitoring system for the programme; and stakeholder liaison at all levels including the National Department of Health (NDoH) and funders. The position is based in the National Department of Health, Pretoria or Midrand, Johannesburg. This is a fixed-term contract position, renewable based on continuation of funding.

Technical Assistance Nurse - Cervical Cancer Prevention, Access and Control (CCPAC) Project

KwaZulu-Natal | Zululand District Municipality | Contract

Health Systems Trust (HST) is committed to an equitable health system that recognises basic socio-economic needs as an important determinant of health outcomes. We are implementing a Cervical Cancer Prevention and Screening Project to address the challenge of high incidence and mortality due to cervical cancer by employing a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) framework to improve access to early screening, diagnosis, treatment and palliative services in the Zululand District of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. By conducting Pap smear screening for cervical cancer and active linkage to care, the objective of the project’s implementation is to detect early signs of cancer among HIV-positive women and women of childbearing age (20 years and older). HST seeks to engage a Professional Nurse to provide technical assistance in this regard. The incumbent will mentor facility-based Nurses who are conducting screening for cervical cancer, TB and sexually transmitted infections (including HIV) on proper referral for treatment, and linking patients to Primary Health Care clinics in compliance with the project’s profile and reporting requirements. The incumbent will work closely with the Project Manager to implement evidence-based activities, review programme performance, assess and guide project outcomes and outputs, and report to funders and stakeholders. This is a fixed-term contract position, renewable based on availability of funding.

PROJECT MANAGER: SyNCH and SmartCare Plus

Gauteng | Contract

The Health Systems Trust (HST) wishes to appoint a Project Manager for health systems strengthening projects being implemented in partnership with the National Department of Health and the Institute for Health Measurement Southern Africa (IHM) in Zambia. The Project Manager will be responsible for co-ordinating processes related to the Synchronised National Communication in Health (SyNCH) web-based system, and the Zambian SmartCare Plus electronic health record system under IHM. This will entail implementation, development, contract management, communications, stakeholder liaison and monitoring and evaluation, while also contributing to technical initiatives within the organisation, such as business development activities. This is a fixed-term contract position based in Gauteng, and is renewable based on continuation of funding.
