Description

The Health Systems Trust (HST) seeks to appoint a CCMDD Co-ordinator to support the implementation, scale-up, optimisation, and sustainability of the CCMDD Programme. This role forms part of the national co-ordination of CCMDD under the Gates Foundation-funded programme. The positions will be based in Gauteng. The co-ordinator will provide technical leadership, co-ordination, and oversight to ensure effective co-ordination of the CCMDD programme across provinces, districts and public health facilities. The CCMDD Co-ordinator will work closely with Department of Health (DoH) at National and Provincial levels, facility staff, private sector partners, District Support Partners (DSPs), and the SyNCH Helpdesk to strengthen capacity, improve CCMDD adoption, and drive performance. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position, renewable based on funding and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support to provinces and districts to strengthen CCMDD implementation and service delivery • Review programme performance data and support development and monitoring of corrective action and quality improvement plans • Facilitate engagement between national, provincial, district and service providers • Establish and attend provincial CCMDD meetings • Support the contracting of pick-up points • Support contracted pick-up points with query resolution • Ensure compliance with the communication and branding plan • Identify ways to expand awareness of the brand • Support implementation of national priorities, policies, guidelines and operational plans • Analyse provincial CCMDD performance data and provide feedback to stakeholders • Monitor progress against programme targets and identify reasons for deviations • Support data quality assessments and implementation of corrective actions • Provide provinces and stakeholders with routine and ad hoc reports • Identify programme gaps and training needs within provinces and districts • Develop and conduct training to address programmatic concerns • Co-ordinate and conduct CCMDD-related training, mentorship and support sessions • Maintain training records and provide reports on training and mentorship activities • Provide guidance and orientation on CCMDD programme processes, policies and systems.

Key Attributes

• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills to manage multiple provincial heads simultaneously. • Experience in stakeholder engagement with the ability to work across facility, district, and partner structures. • Experience in health data management, data validation, and interpretation of routine programme reports. • Experience co-ordinating or supporting digital system rollouts, user support, or ICT projects.

Qualification Required

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent health-related degree (e.g., Public Health) with valid registration with the SAPC or relevant body. • Knowledge and experience in the CCMDD programme at a provincial or national level. • English language proficiency, both verbal and written. • A valid driver’s license.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the health sector, with specific expertise in pharmaceutical service co-ordination or health systems management. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and health information systems (SyNCH); strong analytical ability to interpret complex dashboards.

Remuneration

A salary package commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications and in line with HST’s Job Grading System will be offered.
